USA Medium Household Income (2008)

Above is an image I found pretty interesting that can relate to my topic. It depicts the whole United States, and highlights which parts of the country earn the most average income. When you take a closer look at Rhode Island (which I will be focusing on), you can see we fall into the higher class. Not surprisingly, Rhode Island has some of the most expensive housing in the country. The key word to remember here is "average", as although the income on average is fairly high, not all people fall into that category. For individuals who are not as fortunate at the time, there has to be some alternative other than moving out of state. I hope to present information in my blog posts that are helpful for Rhode Islander's in search for affordable housing, specifically in the North Kingstown district.
